Trim wise within the same model there are definitely more choices now, and 10+ years ago in a lot of ways AMG was more of a tuner than a manufacturer so yes, there stuff wasnt nearly as flash. Even the Hammer didn’t look like much more than a couple of mild aero pieces and a set of rims.

I agree that the basic shapes were very similar, but I think there were more distinctive elements ie headlights, trim, WHEELS. My god the wheels looks so similar now.
