Your problem is your nostalgic for trash. PS1 and N64 didn't age well, so there's nothing to feel nostalgic for. I love Chrono Trigger, but when it was released on PS1, I couldn't stand playing it due to the insane loading times it had. I waited until it was released on the DS, which had no loading time.

They better announce they're just going to open up the flood gates and release a ton of games on the Virtual Console. There's no reason at all that the 3DS shouldn't have all the same VC games the Wii has.

The Wii U doesn't need it. The console isn't even a year old, so why should it get any attention at all? Nintendo has been neglecting the 3DS by barely supporting the online store. They won't even release GBA games on it, yet the Wii U is getting GBA games on the Virtual Console? Yeah, that's not logical at all.
