not exactly. my neighbor's kid has a Volvo 740 turbo wagon, beige, with a terrible dent in the roof from where the previous owner rolled it. but chicks are drawn to him like mosquitoes to a porch light.

sell the rims, rip out the fender vents, go for some darker wheels, and take out some of the screens, and you've earned a few grand, plus you have a tasteful custom van. i'd take that over an escalade any day.

What do you think of the toyota echo, and suzuki sx4. the prior is my current dd, and i'm looking to pick up one of the latter

Clearly, there's only one answer.

you have to actually scan the road to drive anyways, and the center-mount gauges have better visibility in a range of positions

depends. if you have an odd steering-wheel position that obscures the gauges, it ain't so great. if it's in your view, it's good, and the echo's cluster is nicely noticable.

actually, it's quite good. less eye movement, more focus on the road. it's not just a gimmick
