That was fantastic - to see s the finely tuned machine that is an F1 team completely derailed by a problem that was entirely foreseeable was really quite amusing. And the irony of wanting to gain a tenth of a second so much that they ended up not setting a lap time at all was great.

So this is a separate thing to the horror story that regular Instagram is?

Easy. The logo.

Great article, I really enjoyed this. I was the weird kid that did both his junior high science fair projects about auto safety. And even now I won’t even consider a daily driver that doesn’t perform well in testing. For example how many people do you know who special ordered their Mustang just to get the Safe and

If the average consumer was capable of both complex safety system analysis and risk analysis, you might have an argument. But not only is the average consumer not capable of performing this calculus, most consumers aren’t. You cannot rely on the general population to be responsible for public safety, and if you don’t

Considering that most people in the US could buy a safe, new vehicle, immediately cut the roof off, and no one would care, it does seem somewhat silly to have strict standards that are only enforced when the car is built, but not in actual use.

Not really. Not if there are 2+ ton vehicles sharing the road. Momentum is a bitch. And until we get ‘inertial dampeners,’ the big guy will have the advantage.

More info! Porsche’s people told me there’s an air deflector you can activate manually to solve the wind noise problem, which I wasn’t aware of while driving the car, but could resolve my beefs with noise. (Regardless, I stand by my recommendation re: Do a thorough test drive if you want to buy one.)

I may not be able to tell if the car is operable from Public property.“
This is a good public servant doing his duty and not being an ass.

I genuinely have to compliment you for taking up this challenge. Instead of whining and trying to file complaints and doing everything possible to not have to comply, you worked really hard to get this done and make everyone happy.

First time at Torchlopnik, I see?

I’d rather just start using %.

I mention that the fan is for aero purposes and not this--and we cover that in other articles. I just want to know if you could move the car with the fan. I know that’s not the point!

Jason I adore you and this blog but if I have to use the percent sign at work now, it is your turn to use “mph.”

I guess lots of people asked their doctor if Kia Seltos was right for them.

You consider the Cavalier interesting? And your recommendation is to keep 5 Chrysler products? Here’s what I recommend. Keep the Firebird and Durango. There’s couple more worth selling, and the rest drive into the Cape Fear River.

Fixing these cars is clearly the hobby versus actually owning/enjoying the cars and should be treated as such. This should be his process to avoid accumulating what are effectively beaters.

So as I see it, he has:
