Forza 2 was a pretty minor jump from Forza One. Three is where it really seemed like a proper next-gen game and Fourza/Horizon were where you really got to the hardware's potential realized.

That thing's not goofy? The 1 has never come off as anything but goofy to me, though the coupe a little less so.
