The Miata will be more rewarding, especially in the long term, but don't underestimate how grin-inducing gobs of turbo-torque strapped to AWD-grip can be. It can take a while for the novelty to wear off.
Good pick, but my vote goes to its four-door successor, the G8 GXP. Even more power, 6MT, less jelly-beany looks, and sold in even fewer numbers (there's only 1,800 of them). Quite possibly the last great V8 American sedan and damnit, I want one, even if it is 1500 pounds more than the other car I want as much/more.
Leopards & spots?
I always thought moving the battery to the back was a bit nitpicky, then I changed mine this morning and yeah, moving that lump of uranium to the back as opposed to in front of the front axle actually would make some difference.
This very wealthy Italian stopped by the store I work for some Pannetone last week driving a blue one. Having heard it start, you're forgiven. I think it's overdesigned and overweight, but it looks fine from the rear and boy-oh-boy, that V8.
Downforcery?
It's cylindrical on the windshield, spherical in free-fall.
Agreed. Has FoMoCo tested ANYTHING at the 'Ring? I'm drawing a blank here...
Yeah, but he's talking about GT500s. Most Mustang drivers around here are pretty young, but I have yet to meet a GT500 owner under 45-50.

There aren't nearly enough cops in Columbia to pull all the people I see driving dark at night. Nowhere close. Also, being a cyclist, I'm fully in favor of running lights, there's hardly such a thing as TOO visible.
Most certainly, and for that kind of hard-to-undo customization, I want more of a discount for the work I'm going to put into it to get it to look classy again.
The fact that the rear one acts as the third brake light is what brings it in for the win.
First thing that crossed my mind.
Turbocharged Beetle models have either the same or near-as-makes-no-diff go-fast bits from the GTI/GLI models. I think the tires are a bit skinnier and the suspensions a bit softer, but at 7/10ths you aren't going to notice. What you will notice is that some kid in his mom's lime green grocery-getter is dogging your…
It's alright, IRL isn't as important as Jalopnik.
Might not be, could be an otherwise clean salvage title. Take it for a test drive to a Toyota mechanic and check it out. I believe the TT's go for over 20k.
