Not frothy and frivolous, but yeah, uplifting.

If you’re a huge fan of the book, where did you get any expectation that the show would provide an answer to what happened? The book didn’t offer one and wasn’t about that. And this show has emphatically NOT been about teasing us with the hope of a solution from the get-go.
Did the mother even HAVE T-Mobile? It sounded like ghost calls were overwhelming the whole system and you were on hold no matter what carrier or line type you used.
This happened in southeastern PA earlier this week.
Seriously. I’m a regular churchgoer and all, but credit where credit goddam due. Gracie!
Instead her family took her to a fucking baseball stadium to throw the first pitch. Way to punish a cat for heroism.
Ah yes. Those things that flatten without either supporting or immobilizing. But hey, they’re elastic and they cover the area so...
The 80's were already copied back in 2007 or so, at least that’s how I recall the third or fourth season of Project Runway. Shoulder pads and fabrics that were better suited to curtains or upholstered, plus inexplicable, huge, stiff ruffles. Nina slobbered all over it.
I have seen In the Loop. It was a little weird seeing Thick of It cast members in different roles. Not Peter Capaldi, of course.
The Thick of It is everything. I actually caught it in Hulu a couple of years ago but I don’t know if it’s still there. If it is, good way to use the promoted-elsewhere-on-this-site free thirty days!
This is impressive for the printer side of things, and I have nothing but respect for the skill of professional classical musicians. However, this was well within their wheelhouse.
Edited for my own damn mistake. Bleah.
That was always my big frustration with the show. Goddammit, could you just let the characters have a little peace and happiness for five minutes before the next inexplicably bad choices they make complicate things again for no good reason?
But DANGER!! HARD WORK!! OUR MEN IN BLUE LIVES MATTER! Or something.
It’s not a total crapshoot and that’s why I like to know what’s killing other people my age. If life expectancy was as random as you portray it, I wouldn’t be saving for retirement. I wouldn’t have pets. I wouldn’t even bother to pay my mortgage.
I confess I had the same impression when reading the article.
“You PEOPLE have the MORALS of GUINEA PIGS.”
ITT Tech went bankrupt rather than meet government requirements to prove that their degrees were actually worth something. An ITT Tech degree on a resume is guaranteed to be trashed. The poster was saying the guy’s degree was worthless. Not mansplaining.
Those of us who are approaching his age would like a little more info. Should everyone over 50 expect to die of cardiomyopathy in the next year or so?
(Phew.)
