Regardless of which program the person chooses to opt out of, it’s still the person’s choice. If the dividend would replace food stamps or WIC, and it’s beneficial for the person to keep these benefits, then they can choose to keep them and forgo the dividend. The programs will remain just as they always have. I’m

One other item, it appears that Yang is up to $10 million for his campaign, beating out Cory Booker and just under Kamala Harris. The media can’t ignore him now!

Yeah, I gathered pretty much your assessment so far. However, Yang did make clear that the dividend is opt in, and that recipients can choose whichever is more in their favor.

The fact that there has been steady growth in his campaign since the beginning is proof that he should still be in it.  I think the Kinja network is in the bag for Warren/Bernie, so they throw these stories out there to discourage readers.  Really sad because Yang would be the only reason for me to vote next year.

So this was trending for some weird reason.

I know. I thought the Democratic boogywoman was AOC, but apparently I was wrong.

I wouldn’t say it’s exactly common (looking at it from a national perspective), but I know such a relationship can exist. My original post is merely criticism.

I agree, it makes little to no sense at all to me. And the funny thing, a campaign worker is basically a temp gig, lasting only as long as the candidate drops out of the race or becomes president. How is the IBEW going to fight for these workers’ rights when the positions are suddenly eliminated? Will the union fight

Remember when players cried foul when they thought Meta Knight was OP in SSBB? Meanwhile, I had zero trouble taking players out who picked that character. Same with Hero; he’s a good character, but I have strategies for taking that character out with little to no trouble.  I laugh at the whole “tier” system; it’s

I agree with you 100%. Once we start censoring ourselves, we stop informing ourselves, which in my opinion is more dangerous than being exposed to adult Pokemon trainers having sex with Pokemon. Having read that article, I’ve become more informed on such content even existing; now I know what to avoid or see more of

Manslaughter is a fair fate for her. 10-20 years minimum in the clink.

The prosecution brought up some excellent points. Like first, if she sensed danger in what she thought was “her apartment”, why did she go in alone? As a trained police officer, she’s supposed to call for backup and remain at a distance until help arrives. And second, as a trained police officer, she’s had classes on

“this remake will almost certainly bleed over into the next generation of consoles" - This is why I love PC. I have over 20 years of games all in one place. Here's hoping the FF7 Remake games make their way there at some point.

Well, I don’t think we’d have to worry about Nikki Haley, since Mike Pence would be the next in charge. Traditional Republicans generally like him, and having him on the ticket next year for reelection could be a significant challenge for the Democrat candidate, at least compared to Trump. .

The biggest factor in this case will be whether the deceased was sitting down or if he charged her at the time she shot him. The defense is claiming he charged her, which you would think to be a natural response to someone breaking into your home, but is actually a shootable offense in Texas, regardless if she walked

No problems here, but I tend to shut my system completely off when traveling. It's not as convenient as waking the system out of sleep mode, but my battery has remained completely reliable after 2 years of service so far.

Absolutely agree. Also, what’s the rush in having cram so many people into two consecutive nights of debates? Why not split the candidates up into groups of 6, and alternate between them every other week?

the perception that the last cycle was far too favorable to Clinton” - Spoonfeeding her questions prior to debates and locking superdelegate votes in her favor is a tad bit more than “perception”; it’s what actually happened.

Not only would Medicare-for-All benefit the workers during negotiations, but if Yang were president, striking workers would also get $1000/mo to help soften the blow. It seems like Biden’s only solution "Hang in there fellas. Good job".

“Appealing to them is a wast of time” - That’s exactly how Hillary lost Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio, and North Carolina. She didn’t bother to listen to the folks in these states losing their jobs, so instead Trump fed them garbage about how illegal immigrants were taking their jobs, and they
