The GPS receiver in most phones is not as sensitive as sensors in a dedicated unit. Also, some lower and GPS chipsets lose accuracy at high speeds.

I do recommend doing this to a spare printer first. I bought one of these kits for an Epson Stylus printer a couple years ago.
