I'd imagine that thunderbolt would just be an option, like FireWire was for a long time. The dock could still support USB, as thunderbolt still supports USB.
It has always been a little surprising since Services (which are basically the same as intents, if implemented a little different) have pretty much always existed in OS X. I have a feeling iOS 6 is going to allow more interaction between apps, though.

Doubtful. Most of what is seen with Parkinson's patients happens in the brain. This is spinal issues. Although I have read about some interesting protein inhibitors that are being investigated that would potentially allow the brain to repair itself in Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and other similar diseases.
