I agree on the Kobo thing. It would be nice if B&N or Amazon had an app for it, but I don't think it's the worst thing in the world that it doesn't. How is web app support on the Playbook? If it's as good as iOS, you could always use the kindle web app.

    Isn't all masturbation self-masturbation?

I don't seem to remember Apple selling cases for the iPad... I remember a cover. Only one of them, too.

    Sideways relative to what? ;)

I'd beg to differ. The people who are buying individual tracks on iTunes weren't buying albums as pieces of art. They were listening to radio, P2P downloading, and copying CDs. The people who enjoy the "album experience" are still buying full albums (unless they're complaining about record companies and just

Many of the phones that were experiencing this "issue" should have been addressed already.

This is my bet as far as improvements go besides the retina display:

Report it with the tag #broken and you may get better results.

As I think you've found, most people like our friend above have little frame of reference to understand living conditions in China or the cost of living. $1.50 an hour sounds like a pittance to them, but they don't understand in the least how much food $1.50 can buy, or how much of a difference employer provided

I dunno about fusion, but that girl at the top is HOTT!!!

    I think it's okay.

Actually, I kind of think Metro fits the real concept of a window much better. A window offers a limited view of what's on the other side from the perspective of the user. If you climb through a window, you find yourself with a much more complete view. I think each tile is like a window view of an app. Open the window

I know, right! Windows 7 is blue by default!

Very true. I'm know plenty of people chugging away on 10.4 and 10.5.

You know, I'm not positive. I seem to recall Leopard getting a security update in the middle of last year. But I haven't had a machine running leopard since last January, so I don't know for sure.

Like lucasway89 said, it's less about upgrading for features and more about upgrading for the many, many performance improvements afforded by the under the hood changes from Leopard to Snow Leopard.

There was an OS update for SL in Jly. There have also been numerous first party software updates for SL versions of software since the release of Lion, right alongside updates for the Lion counterparts.
