I think there is an excellent community of amateur and professional developers releasing some really great, high quality software for the Mac user community. I would love to be able to use a screen resolution like that in editing HD videos and photos. You may see it as ridiculous, but I know a lot of people who have been talking about this very thing for years.

I don't recall the base price of any Mac (aside from the Mini) increasing in years. I also don't remember the iPhone 4 costing any more than the previous version despite the increased resolution.
