Exactly. Thanks for pointing this out. Apple is not the only company who uses a proprietary dock port, and at least they have made it a point to stick with the same port for a decade.

I hate to tell you this, but the idea of using a camera on your tablet as a real snapshot camera is a complete joke. Have you seen people using tablets as cameras? It looks ridiculous. It's nice to have for scanning documents or playing around with. The front facing camera is a good idea for video calls. Tablets are…
You don't actually say Siri before using Siri. You either hold your phone up to your ear or you hold down the home button. Then you tell Siri what you want. No need for saying Siri. I'd imagine a TV will have some other trigger.
Well then, I suppose nothing much is going to change.
I love my vacuum pot. If I had two, I'd probably make 90% of all my cups in them. As it is, I start most days with my vacuum pot at home (ocassionally my Bialleti Moka Express) and then do my single serving French Press at work for any further coffee needs.
My problem with Keurig is twofold: the pods seem wasteful, and the blends offered aren't near as good as what I can buy from a good local roaster.
If people are having this problem with their press made coffe, they need to adjust their grind, not the coffee making method. Then get an app like Press Pot for their smartphone (or even just a good kitchen timer) to make sure they aren't under or over extracting. Made right, French press coffe should be great.
Very few companies manufacture their own chips, but Apple has been designing their own chips since the A4 and the purchase of PA Semi. Of course, people would point out that the processor itself is based on a reference design, but there's a lot more that goes into a chip than the reference design.
People play pan poop pipes plenty. Perhaps poor pipe players prefer polished poo.
I create and show presentations from my iPad almost daily.
This has got to be the lamest argument in the book. There's tons of productive software for the iPad. One can create documents in Pages, spreadsheets in Numbers, presentations in Keynote, edit photos in Luminance or Snapseed, Blog from any number of web interfaces or apps, edit videos in iMovie, podcast [www.steinarknu…
I don't know. My seems just fine. And photos I have on it end up in three or four places without having to carry a drive around.
Apple has a tendency to pay billions in cash up front for multiple years worth of components. Not only would it hurt Samsung's profits, but it would also result in lawsuits regarding the contracts that are linked to those multibillion dollar advance payments. And since Apple has consistently had contracts with Samsung…
That's a big use for my iPad. :)
Yeah! And you know what else? I'm tired of all these people telling me about the moon landing. Like they were there. Nobody should talk to me about the moon landing unless they were on the moon.
I played with it for a few hours. I saw the screen rotation option under the settings gear. I couldn't get it to work, so I figured it was an upcoming feature that was showing up on the menu. After you brought this up, I decided to take a look around. I guess some devices are experiencing bugs with rotation. Sometimes…
It's not bad. Couple of taps to get to where you need to be. Not as quick as hardware buttons, but it's mostly a frustration because it seems like such an obvious thing.
That is fair enough. But it's something very easy for Amazon to fix by adding an option to turn off one-click purchasing. Even if it's just to keep a child from picking up your Fire and doing the same thing. How many times can you call your bank and tell them not to process the charges from Amazon because your kid got…
Yeah, like mikeman06 said, it's a really bad place if you rest it on something. It doesn't seem like a very resistant button, either. Fairly easy to depress. It's not on the bottom of the face (just realized that might be what you thought), it's on the bottom edge, like the iPad's is along the top edge.
The other one I hear a lot is the placement of the sleep/wake button. On the bottom of the device. Very frustrating I'd imagine.
