@Arfdog: "The Porsche excels at track days." I guess none of the PCA I guys at the track days I've attended had the Porsche. Take a look at Car and Driver's 'Lightning Lap' results through the years though, for a clue. I'm sure the newest GT2 is capable of a couple fast laps before the tires go off, but it wasn't so

Playing video games wasn't lame enough.

@Xander Crews - WRX REASCEND: Your 'hot' people were almost certainly wearing something coverinng their upper thighs. I lived in Manhattan for 4 years before going to San Diego for a week and deciding by the end of it that I wasn't going back.

The rush hour frottage enthusiasts must have been ecstatic.

@Roberto G.: It actually doesn't look all that terrible in this photo, unlike every other one I've seen of a new Scirocco.

I thought VW was trying to align their prices with their quality and durability in the US market. I don't see how the German built Scirocco can help achieve their objective, unless they sell it at a loss to get the price in line with their similarly shoddy Mexican production.

How long before Chavez gets one of his whores a Superlicense? Williams used to seem like an admirable team, but maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention. They were in bed with various nasty Saudis, they had Damon Hill, Checques Villeneuve, and Ayrton Senna as drivers, and signed an engine deal with Mario Theissen.

@LappingLuke: It does ring of a deal with the devil.

@Street Spirit: +1 The best part about it is that it doesn't have an authentic British engine with pushrods, SU carbs, a block that sometimes doubles as the chassis of a tractor, an oil trail for navigating back home, and attached to a 4-speed transmission coupled to a broken electric overdrive unit.

In my opinion, this is the one car on the planet that should actually be painted matte black.

@Arfdog: I've driven old mopars, and I've never duplicated the rear wheel hop under panic braking shown in the video. I've blown up a Porsche transmission though. Come to think of it, I also blew up a differential on a '71 Plymouth, but only by reving the engine in neutral and dropping into drive like a 16 year old

@Arfdog: Not to any detriment? Only if you decide never to duplicate magazine acceleration specs. Otherwise, much to the detriment of many a suspension and drivetrain component. Porsches that are likely to be used for more than hair replacement are now available with variable rigidity engine mounts as one effort to

@Arfdog: Porsche 911s were still wheel hopping under acceleration 5 years ago.

@Elhigh: I knew someone who drove like that through his teens and twenties, wrecked a few cars, evaded a bunch of cops, faired okay in court when a bystander called in a license plate that the persuing police motorcyclist couldn't make out. Something terrible happened to him all right. He got old and realized that

OAMTC!

@AMGkiller: Did I hit a nerve? You can call me names all you want, but I'm not the one with the character flaw that can be seen from space. Two graduate degrees and you call people retards? Hillarious. There have never been truer words written about you than what is contained in my previous post and your best hope is

@Roger_Wilco: I agree. The justice department should be prosecuting the totalitarians in Sacramento for treason!

@AMGkiller: Hypocrite. Look it up. Why do you need a totalitarian nanny state to make you to do what you think you need to do? You're a sorry excuse for a human being. Pathetic. The world would be ever so much better off without you!
