@FriscoFairlane: People who actually know about cars do remember the original, which didn't look like this Canadian replicar.

I suppose you can't blame them for failing to duplicate Allard's swing axle front suspension, but the price is that this replicar is no more convincing as an Allard than a Fauxgatti with a VW front axle is as a Type 35.

I saw my first Ferrari 458 yesterday. This Stratos replicar is the first attractive new Italian car I've seen in years.

I'm impressed how fast the police officer reclaimed control of his car, but less so with the way he ran in front of it.

@87CE 95PV Type Я: I mean stitches from the brawls that break out as happy hour ends.

The Volvo 240 wagon when outfitted with a Harley Davidson bumpersticker on the back window is the car parked amoung the bikes outside the bars where the barmaids have visible stitches. If you think I'm kidding, you don't know white trash.

When I think of cars that were carefully photographed for magazines and advertising that look like awkward bowel movements on the streets, I think of the Audi R8 and every BMW of the past decade.

@trev: Formula one has a half dozen have-talents and a dozen and a half have-moneys.

Nobody who held up a peace sign in 1972 is cool.

I remember Pastrana's first 125 super cross at Daytona beach. He is a tremendous talent and character. I had no idea he had won 4 national rally championships, 22 races, and more than 150 rally stages. NASCAR has the highest concentration of talented drivers, the biggest audience, and the most money. Travis belongs in

@jjdaddyo: The LX is the 2011 Honda Odyssey base model. It is priced at $27,800, or $28,580 with destination. The EX is priced the same as the base T&C.

@ChiefPontiaxe: It is all relative. At least GM didn't say that you had to buy a second key to access full performance. I'm not sure you're correct anyway. If turning a switch allowed a diffferent set of performance parameters that weren't going to be tested by the EPA, why wouldn't they have also built in a defeat

@MikeofLA: It is a switch. Why on earth would the ECU be contained in the key? I think it is a gimmick. In fact I know it is.

@QuadraBog: Aftermarket tuners are making compromises that bypass warranty and emission durability standards. The manufacturer certainly isn't.

@zeeboid: The black key exists so that you can be charged extra to make the car do what you bought it for in the first place. If you have an IQ over 85, you can be spared the need for either key.

@PHIL: What does it say that Chevrolet has so much more respect for the intelligence of their customers back in 1990 than Ford does today?

@BullittFan_Fords4Life: Is this your first Ray Wert article? Maybe you're being ironic...

This key represents a classic idiot tax. I will never buy a car from a company that has so little respect for me that they require I buy a second key to access features that should be the throw of a switch away. Makes sense for Ray Wert though.

@Rä¢inG73 - ain't nuthin' but a G73 thang: I thought Briatore was banned for fixing the Singapore GP, to the extent that Briatore managed drivers would be denied FIA licenses. I know some French joke of a court over-turned the ban, but I thought last word was that Briatore just did it 'to restore his name' and wasn't
