It is far from fact...

Bing Bing Bing!!! You have just won the prize for finding the most bias pole on the internet today. Hey, I don't watch Fox at all and I am not defending them... as a matter of fact, I don't watch TV at all, but I was curious about your link. It is just in my nature to attempt to find out if what I am reading is

I would take this over Episodes 1-3 any day.

But I thought everyone already owned a refrigerator in the US.

Just in!!! Volcanoes are melting the Antarctic ice!

I'm not sure what I expected from the search, but it wasn't at all what I found.

I was at a party a couple of years ago and there was this very young girl there. I overheard her talking to someone else and it struck me odd when she told them she could not imagine having to learn about sex without the internet.

I was a teen before the internet, and we used to spend the weekends cruising around town searching for girls. There were tons of teens cruising, hanging out, hooking up, and just having good old fashion face-to-face fun.

Why would I upgrade from a perfectly good OS like Win 7 to something that is ad-supported? If you are listing Microsoft, the only way I will upgrade to Win 8 is if it is 1) ad free 2) it is less than $20, preferably free. I was a die hard Windows fan for many years, but have gradually moved away to OS X and Linux

GMO Babys! It sounds better that way, doesn't it?

Genius! i just pre-ordered.

The food producers of the world currently produce way more food than the world's population actually needs and we really don't need GMO's. We are trying to create a solution to a problem that really shouldn't exist. We have very inefficient global food import/export practices.

What does this article have to do with tech anyway? Why would this article be posted on Gizmodo?

Because this map is an artist's interpretation of data and not necessarily fact.

Why?

I would take this map with a grain of salt. Click on the original post, start reading the “artist's” comments, and you will begin to get the impression that what is presented is not completely based on hard data. It seems like there is quite a bit of “artistic interpretation” with this map.
