RE: (2), Good catch! I had not noticed that.
“A Serious Man” is firmly in the 2nd tier of Coen Brothers movies, and by “2nd tier of Coen Brothers movies” I mean it’s great.
I’m hoping he’ll explain why it’s always hot and muggy. I mean, they’re in Virginia, right? It gets cold in Virginia in the winter, and it sometimes even snows there!
Awesome prank, Farva
When I think of “The In-Laws” I also think of “Zorro, The Gay Blade”... they were both on HBO when I was little and they’re both comedies I’ve revisited almost 40 years later and found to be even funnier now than they were then.
Serpentine! You’re doing great, Shel!
Do people actually watch basketball? If so, why?
Do you *know* who Reese Witherspoon *IS* ???

Mind blown = “The Party Animal” (1984) soundtrack... it can only be explained if an IRS Records executive lost a bet to a producer of the movie (REM, Buzzcocks, Fleshtones, etc)
There are not one but TWO scenes in which the kid is literally rapping and the point of it is we’re supposed to say, “ha, the kid is rapping, that’s funny and great”... I’m not even exaggerating
As to literally every other movie ever made I agree with you, but in the case of “The Visit” no, it was just too painful
who?
