Both of them are terrible.

Heard’s biggest mistake in the trial was how she shot her own credibility when the ACLU guy admitted they timed the OpEd for maximum effect, the admission Heard did not donate the 7 million dollars of her divorce settlement as she had publicly stated she already had and bringing up Kate Moss

I have mixed feelings about the attention Jezebel is giving to this. I feel for the Griners, but the regular articles about how upset Cherelle (understandably) is while paying little or no attention to not-famous people in similar circumstances AND ignoring the realities of trying to deal with Russia right now reminds

“If I can’t trust you to catch a Saturday call outside of business hours, how can I trust you to actually be negotiating on my wife’s behalf to come home?”

Numbers, mostly, and the general disposition to not turn the Capitol building into a bloodbath. Same reason they don’t arrest a mass of looters but do go after shoplifters.

Looking forward to the epic rant Triumph will do on this. Smigel was handed a gift on top of an already juicy segment.

I would say part of it is that with principal photography being completed a year ago that to try to cast a new actor, rebuild the sets, and bring back the other actors who have moved on to other projects would be impossible or at least cost-prohibitive.

“RAWHIDE!”

Offline I’ve talked to plenty of diehard Star Wars fans and to a one they are embarrassed by this show.

A sleeping juror could be grounds for appeal or new trial - although a lot of judges would want to avoid the issue by going with the “my head was down looking at my notes” excuse if a juror made it and the sleeping wasn’t blatant. The bias question is a tougher call. It’s the lawyer’s job to ferret those out during

You’re right that procedural errors would have to be the grounds for appeal.  Severe jury misconduct could get you somewhere, but courts are understanding of the fact that when you get a jury from the community, you’re getting regular people, with all that entails.  Sometimes jurors fail to concentrate, and they

Gtfoh with this bullshit. You know damn well that this story (assuming it’s true) isn’t simply about someone “changing their mind about something.” You also know damn well that if Boebert simply had a “personal opinion” about abortion, there wouldn’t be a problem. Guess what, everyone has a personal opinion about

The function of the jury is to be the finder of fact. They are sworn to determine the facts based on their individual assessments of the evidence and witnesses. Judges are extremely cautious about interfering with a jury’s fact findings once they are made. One phrase you hear constantly from a judge in several

I don’t think the scene where the general pulls the plug on Gump’s speech where he talks about how much the war sucks while the protesters cheer is very conservative.

Nah, the best film of 1994 was the Chris Elliott vehicle “Cabin Boy”.

You do have to admit, Mr. Hanks is a pretty smart guy. From the New York Times interview:

The accent itself, from a technical perspective, was quite good.  It just sounded wrong, especially when he was using slang.

Ryan Reynolds personally chose him. I'd say his faith trumps any trepidation we as fans should have.

Harvey straight-up raped, blackmailed, and also beat up a lot of people. He’s very unambiguously a criminal, not just a creep.

Sadly almost no one is wearing masks these days, vaxxed and not
