Where do you even begin to figure out the methodology needed to solve this?

The shaded polygon is a quadrilateral, so the sum of its interior angles is 360. Since you know that x+y=80, the other two angles sum to 360-80 = 280. These two unlabeled angles must have the same measure ("equal angles"), so 280/2 = 140 gives

How often do you people come up to a pack of cars slowing down the flow of traffic on the highway? Probably everyday. Now how often do you try to pass said pack of cars on the grass? Probably never. The rules do not change for a bunch of dick bags on crotch rockets.

I'm getting fed up at all the people who are always saying that the left lane is for passing only. Please look up the laws for each individual state...oh wait, someone's already done that for us: http://www.mit.edu/~jfc/right.htm…

I've been annoyed by packs of bikers taking over the road before, but come on. At what point does you brain disconnect so completely that this seems like a good idea?

I think we all learned here that driving a Volvo off-road at a high speed will definitely end up in an accident and that Volvo sedans make terrible off-road vehicles. I mean, that is why we are all here. To discuss cars, right?

50/50 fault?

People, chill pills. Watch the video again. See that truck and trailer that the Volvo looses control next to? The bikes are passing that truck.... THAT is why both lanes are covered. There's no excuse for trying to pass a pack of bikers at highway speeds on the grass shoulder (or any shoulder).

Interesting use of the word "blocking". There are tons of cars "blocking" my commute every morning on my motorcycle in Chicago. I wish they'd all just move over and let me by. At least I know that if I decide to take to the shoulder they're 50% at fault for how it plays out.

Let me throw something out there: If the Volvo wanted to overtake the bikers, shouldnt it be on the left lane?

Why the fuck are you guys saying the bikers are idiots? I'm sorry, the bikers did ZERO wrong in this situation. There are like 400 of them, on a highway, driving highway speed. They aren't doing any bullshit like the thousands of other Youtube Videos of these crews wheeling down highways.

"...motorcycle riders blocking both lanes..."

There is a CBR1000RR powered Honda roadster in my garage which begs to differ
