I've never experienced anything like that. I'll admit, I had some problems when I first got the remote, but they released a software update shortly after that and it's been a breeze since then.

@junkyardmonkie: It's also an easy call to use to lower your talk time, which is usually a metric used in call centers to evaluate employees. I don't blame them for dropping the call. It's a free boost to stats and stats are used to calculate raises.

Wouldn't you still be liable for the taxes on the money you received? So, say for example you owe $250,000, you'd have to pay taxes on the quarter of a million the company paid you, which would be quite high I would think. You might have to take a mortgage out just to pay the taxes.
