The modding community for TES games never fails to make me facepalm. They try to make the game world as beautiful and realistic as possible, yet all mod in clothes that make their characters mostly naked. Because clearly that's the most realistic and practical clothing choice for the adventuring female.

Hang in there brother ;)

I only have a Mac :(

You missed these:

The six-word horror story.

Let me do a pre-post of the common comments so we can avoid clutter.

Smile! Because baby/honey/gurrrl, you're too pretty to look sad, and you should focus on whether or not your face is pleasing to men.

But don't smile too much, or we'll have to kill you.

Or, here's an idea, you could realize your sister is her own fucking person and let her, as an adult, decide who she wants to date and when, including your friends, without asking your permission like it's 1890 and you're her dad.

The game does appeal to them. The fact that it doesn't have a women in the game disappoints them. They aren't mutually exclusive feelings to have.

I think it's less in trouble about women and more in trouble about their total bullshit excuse. "re-do all the animations?" What, does Arno not sway his hips and jiggle his tits enough that you can't just transfer them over?

People aren't mad because Assassin's Creed doesn't have women, they're mad because Ubisoft lied about how difficult it would be to add women. I think the Far Cry 4 team was more honest, and I can't see them receiving the same blow back. I'd bet a couple bucks that Far Cry 5 has women, as conciliatory as that sounds.

YOu see, I don't see any pushing. I see people complaining. The only pushing I've witnessed is coming from defenders of Ubisoft. THAT is what worries me.

So this so much taunted "next gen" with its amazing and powerful technologies and upgrades ends up being the same thing as last gen. "We can use cloud computing" but they can't have more variety in their character choices, really?

We recognize the valid concern around diversity in video game narrative. Assassin's Creed is developed by a multicultural team of various faiths and beliefs and we hope this attention to diversity is reflected in the settings of our games and our characters.

Uh...yeah, people do care. The "people whining" are the people playing the games. Welcome to the modern world friendo. The people whining are the players of the games who themselves are varied both along gender lines and racial lines. Is it a crime to want to be represented? The only excuse for something like this

If you are going to write a game promoting historical and social experiences, is it really that big a stretch to ask for the inclusion of a female POV?

Name all those other issues. Because, you know... Not representing half of its audience seems like a big issue to me.

Nowadays, the "too much work" argument no longer flies. It should be considered "necessary work" - simply the cost of doing business. We don't see games cutting walking and running animations as separate things due to "too much work". We don't see them making every object in the world static and non-interactive

This woman has done a tremendous amount of activist work regarding international human rights and refugees, and you want to silence her for something she did 14 years ago? Ok.
