Having been on safari in Kenya and Uganda I can unequivocally say that a turbo diesel Land Rover Defender is the way to go. The muck, mess and generally awful "roads" we traveled were handled with the aplomb only a Defender can employ. An absolutely amazing month spent in an AMAZING vehicle.
