Sox fan here. This is definitely a two-way street. Both teams have been going back and forth at each other since the 1st inning of Opening Day. It will be a season-long thing.

oh God, that is one of many many reasons I don't think I could deal with a HOA. Its my damn home you aren't going to tell me what I can and cannot do to it, with it, or in it...unless you want to pay the mortgage while you are at it.

What's the best way to learn how to diagnose issues with a car? I drive a 2012 128i and have been slowly teaching myself to fix it but still take it to the shop for a lot of things simply because i don't know how to tell what the issue is

I bought a 1998 Jeep GC for $1800 last year.
Chrysler dealer quoted me $3000 to so the seals on the front and read differentials.

For me, it was a $700 front brake job on my Xterra.* I didn't question it because "packing bearings" sounded expensive to my young (and untrained) ear.

Reminds me of a Heater Core replacement I did on a friends Blazer, he had 2 cars a Blazer and S-10 P/U he had the core replaced at a shop on the truck and it cost him $1,000 when the core went on his Blazer we decide to do it ourselves, 12 hours later we had done it and we also realized why the shop charged so much.

For me it was a coked up Toyota dealer who stole my money, did no work, and left me to die as I attempted to drive a car with almost no brake fluid.

I normally work on my own car. I havent taken it to a shop in a long time.
