I don't recall all the location names, but the smoke stacks in the picture are part of a small power plant. North of it is the Hyperion [sanitation] Treatment Plant, and farther North is LAX. Directly to the east of the photographer is the Chevron El Segundo Oil Refinery. There's not a lot of pollution from these

The Intermediate Nuclear Force treaty specifies Ground based launching systems, not air launched. The truck-launched versions, and also the Pershing II and SS-20 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles, were later destroyed under the bilateral INF (Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces) treaty with the USSR.
