Yeah... if I were there I would definitely argue that's an unconstitutional restraint of (tax on) interstate commerce. Sounds like a good case, too; I imagine a tax on the sale of houses brings substantial revenue.

If New Jersey is taxing people who are moving out of state, I would argue in a second that's unconstitutional.

I think this is actually wonderful technology. Much like the Prius itself, the people who would purchase this are exactly the people you would expect - the ones for whom driving is merely an annoying interruption of their conversation/makeup/reading/texting/etc. Now, they won't even have to pretend to be paying

Hi, I'm glad you've been able to access the outside world from underneath your foil hat. If this transmission breaks through your defenses:

Hey, their Frozen Grey isn't even matte. And you know they're charging way more than $40,000 in mark up. So come on down to Pacific BMW, where we're known for how we handle special cars.

While a great idea in theory Swine, how in the world to you propose to make a fence (or whatever material you propose to substitute) strong enough without frequent posts? Keep in mind, in the case of Indycar it's got to contain ~2000lbs moving at up to 240mph, and in NASCAR it's got to contain ~3600lbs moving at up

Oh. Fair point. I honestly forgot they exist. However, I will counter that the EVT (as opposed to a standard CVT) is more a function of engineering necessity than anything else. Otherwise you would need either two transmission or separate drive systems to produce a hybrid car.

CVT transmissions. By the time they figure out how to make them reliable enough and handle enough power, transmissions will be dead. Even if they could iron out the engineering, I think most consumers simply find them too weird for comfort; even the ones that have been offered have had terrible sales.

Dan was a great driver and all around great guy.

Get out of the groove and ye shall spin, bro.

SR20 rule, bro.

Not bad, but Yamaha did it better earlier this year, and with a perfect flashmob style.

Say what you will about them, but Walmart does pretty darn well with customer service. I think you could probably show up at their return desk with something that had been run over and set on fire and they'd probably at least give you store credit.

Gawker cross-post?

What's that? BMW put more electronics on their already ridiculously over-complicated engines? Oh, they did. Whatever. My e46 will be the last BMW I ever own. They have lost the plot severely. The world doesn't need or want a RWD German Lexus.

Wow. My brain doesn't even work this time of morning. I'll have to get back to you once I process that awesomeness. In the mean time, my eyes say this resembles a #COTD

Yes, I own that too. Easily the worst motorcycle physics I've ever seen. The faster you go, the bike becomes more and more unstable and wants to just fall over. WTF? That's exactly backwards. It made no sense at all. Best motorcycle physics I've played was MotoGP '08 on PS3 (don't get the newer ones, they went

Ignoring the fact that it's technically all public roads, the standing lap record is 17:12.30, which is only about 10mins longer than a 'ring lap in a Supercar. So, it's not like it's eons longer; most of the course is much, much faster than the 'ring. The biggest problem for testing would be accounting for the mass
