When I was a kid I dumped hours of my life into the X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter game. I used to LAN with my brother and sister, rocking the A-Wing in massive melees as I sought to bring them both down in un-scientific balls of flaming glory. When their joysticks broke they dropped out of my deathmatches, but I kept going,

Do you have AdBlock Pro turned on? I find this happens when they have that stupid dropdown advertisement.

Heh, your comment made me look it up and throw it on my wishlist. I've always been curious about it.

Yeah, and not to fall prey to shoddy contractors; it's why I do all my flipping myself!

I got the idea from a coworker; he doesn't let himself play Skyrim unless he's also using the bike. I do something similar, but with books—a lifetime of being a bookworm has made me a past master of walking while reading a book. It makes the workout go by faster, and if you use an incline while on the treadmill you

Picked up the Persona 2 game for the PSP; at worst it'll be a game for me to play when I'm at the gym, at best it'll be something I can flip for a profit. :)

Sweet! Going to have to pick it up. :)

I know I'll fall into this trap, so I'm doing the main quest in small doses. It's not even that hard—I'm having way too much fun running around and exploring to really feel like I'm missing out on anything.

If you would I'd love that; I'm jonesing for Skyrim pictures and gameplay. But even a higher resolution of that shot would be awesome, there's something ethereal about the mist and fog. :) Thanks!

Aaand I found my new Skyrim wallpaper. :) I'm so mad I didn't get to play it at all last night, I feel that this game is going to be my obsession until ME3, just like Morrowind was. There's so much to see and do that it's overwhelming.

While I will admit to gushing over Skyrim the second the only other gamer coworker walked in this morning, I am just as psyched over Bioshock 2. I beat Bioshock this weekend and started the second loving every moment of it, but then my boyfriend went and bought Skyrim for me so I had to play that.

I built a PC for ~$600 in 2009, including the best processor I could afford, a beefy PSU, 4 gigs of okay brand RAM and a decent 512mb graphics card. I have since paid perhaps $200 over the past two years into it for upgrades, including a GeForce GTX 460 card and an additional 4 gigs of RAM. It has yet to fail to run a

Rassafrassa. Didn't know there was a digital version, and I swear I looked 5 or 6 times. Oh well. I'm returning my hard copy and getting the digital—I'll still come out ahead, but dang if that isn't annoying.

"his desperate please to publishers"

Yerrrg. While I can see the satirical aspects of the issue, I have a huge issue with the way domestic abuse has been portrayed in Family Guy in the past—the one with Horton the elephant is an easy trigger for a PTSD episode, and it really disturbs me to see it or hear it on TV due to my own personal experience.

Haha, oh god yes, I could never play without the lights on and someone else in the apartment. And I might try Alan Wake... Though I have a feeling that might be worse due to its playing around with lights and the like.

The reason behind my masochistic ways is that I'm a writer, and Bioshock is constantly held up as a game with great writing and narrative detail. It's no different really than slogging through a classic novel—though admittedly less pulse-pounding than what I do to myself. :)

Absolutely. I've done the same thing with Resident Evil 4. I can get past that first zombie in the house, but I can't leave the house because I know for a fact (from watching friends play through it) there are two more just waiting outside the house. Not going to touch that one with a ten foot pole, I'm hoping to just

I am very susceptible to panic attacks, having had my fair share of them in the past for unrelated reasons. I guess it mostly relates to my insanely creative imagination, where I'll come up with even more frightening things than the game creator could ever imagine. Thank you for the advice though! I've managed to

Erm, pirates pirate games after release dates you know.
