How funny is the guy saying he only focuses on economic issues not social issues. Social issues are economics issues. An unplanned pregnancy or discriminatory act by an employer can seriously screw someone up economically.
Celebrities do it because of a lack of creativity. Same reason as always.
Here's a good study for you to peruse http://www.statisticbrain.com/golf-player-de…
"Which means that they may be, in fact, "subsidized by hard-working taxpayers." As are other hobbies, like swimming, jogging, biking, canoeing, fishing, basketball, softball, soccer, rock-climbing, hiking, camping, volleyball, frisbee golf, horseback riding, etc."
Yeah golf courses use a lot of gasoline, water, fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, and labor. I can think of a lot of other things those cities could be spending money on that would serve the community better.
So are you saying most golf courses are publicly owned and taxpayer subsidized. Because this seems a bit confusing. Somebody else said that "public" in this case means public access. In that case they would still be privately owned right? If not I have a really problem with taxpayers subsidizing your hobby.
The only club that operates like this stateside huh.
OK that makes more sense. I was wondering where all these taxpayer funded golf courses are and why the tea party isn't protesting them.
Unless you expect hard working taxpayers to subsidize your hobby you mean.
i don't think its just one club that does this. I think its just the most well known that keeps up this discrimination. And the idea that women can only play as guests is pretty patronizing.
Here's a questions for aficionados of public golf course. Why should hard working taxpayers be subsidizing your hobby?
Why should hard working taxpayers subsidize your elitist hobby?
Here's a conversation starter for your golf outing
Yeah but its cheaper than going to an NFL game. Ha Ha. Most people I have ever met have never gone to an NFL game. If they wan't a "live experience" they go to a high school game or maybe splurge on a trip to a public university to tailgate in the parking lot during a home game.
I agree skiing is more elitist than golfing. Working class people don't ski, we slide down hills on a cooking pan preferably in an unsafe area.
Where are you from? I'm trying not to make that a personal questions its just that employers get away with alot of shit in the US. Even if it is illegal. And misclassification of employees Is kind of a gray area over here. Employers get away with it alot.
Soccer's not expensive in comparison. Literally all you need is a ball a foot and an improvised goal to play at the unorganized level. Of course to play in an organized league is a little more expensive you'll need a good pair of boots, shinguards , a uniform and access to a decent field an goals. The great thing is…
I'll give you the caddying thing. My great uncle was a working class Italian dude who go into the sport by caddying.
