Is it *so much more* premium than a Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line that I should get this car with a regular automatic over the Hyundai’s 201 hp and DCT?

The problem is efficiency. Because the 4 cylinder needs to make twice as much power per cylinder, all aspects of efficiency go down. More power is lost to heat and friction. And because the engine is so much smaller, it likely has less torque, which means to create the same power as the V8 it needs to be at a higher…
Nah, that’s their problem. If Cadillac put $250,000 of effort into a car it could easily be a Bentley competitor, but GM won’t risk it. Even Lincoln just took a bit of a risk and made a $110,00 custom sedan.
Shit, at this point Lincoln has somehow managed to jump to a higher spot than Cadillac. A $110k coachbuilt suicide-doored limo? Fuck yeah, sign me up in 30 years when I can afford that. The Navigator is the prettiest truck on the market and the Aviator just shit on GM’s chest. And yet all the Lincolns are more…
This tick sounds exactly like the tick on a 90s Chevy small block V8 that constantly have exhaust leaks from the manifold. It’s quieter, but rhythmic, and the sound varies slightly with each tick, exactly like those shitty old trucks.
To cool an engine you want to richen the fuel mixture and lower the rpm, both of which will lower combustion temps.
You gotta pump those alcoholism numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
I’ve done this in an Outback in Wyoming. The engine/trans combo just doesn’t have enough power to lift itself up particularly rough terrain, grip aside. I imagine the electronics are saving transmission reliability and not allowing the full power to be transferred, but I had higher expecations.
That said, it did way…
In my experience, stancey cars usually only get driven to and from a show because they’re a pain in the ass to drive. But bro trucks get driven every day and they’re obnoxious as hell. Stancey people might be annoying and slow but they’re not aggressive, which bro truck drivers certainly are. I’ve never seen a dumped…
Typically, power is not the defining factor in tow ratings. The choke point is usually suspension setup or chassis strength. Power-wise, the P100D is putting down almost 800 torques which is plenty to drag a lot of shit through a parking lot. But if you hook the proper chain up to one of these trucks, one of two…
I haven’t had experiences with walls but I’ve also rented several new Toyotas and I know their software is much too aggressive when it comes to other cars and normal operations. For example, if I’m in the right line approaching a car which is exiting. The car exiting starts slowing down while on the highway like most…
My Formula SAE team in college used a supercomputer for CFD computations. Literally every engineering firm has access to this, even college kids.
Shit, I wouldn’t purchase it simply because the trunk opening is STILL barely big enough for a lunch box.
I used JB Weld to repair severe curb damage on my RPF1s. I actually molded a new lip onto the wheel with it, sanded it down to match the profile perfectly, repainted them all myself in a booth, and they survived for 5 more years and several tire mounts and dismounts. Perfecto.
I’m sure one of these days during my career I’ll figure out how and why pilots can make mistakes like these. I’ve already learned a few lessons in my first year of getting paid, but none of those lessons involved anyone except myself.
But something like this...I just don’t understand it. I’ve flown into a lot of…
Every driver should understand the machine they’re driving. Being prepared for “the course” doesn’t matter - a driver should be familiar with their car’s abilities and their own abilities in any situation, and perform whatever maneuver with skill at any time.
But most drivers have no clue how to operate their machines…
All I’m seeing is a car that is neutral and poor driving technique.
He wouldn’t have to listen to it anymore if they would stop making fatbitch cars.
“echo-sport” as opposed to “ekko-sport.”
I also did a 21 hour day, from Columbus OH to Austin TX. I was fine when I got to Dallas, but that last three hours after dark put the nail in the coffin. I’ll do it again, just not solo next time.
