I rode in this as a kid. The buyer for it was a friend of the family, Prince Mohammed bin Faisal who was some sort of cousin to the Saudi royal family (passed away a few years ago in a boating accident).

To begin, I should explain the term "halo car" for those of you who haven't heard it before. Here's what it means: let's say you're building some bland, boring, mediocre automobiles, such as the Ford Freestyle, and you realize that your stuff is so dull that sometimes the NHTSA forgets to crash-test it.
When I lived up near Bellingham I participated in a number of the Chuckanut Sports Car Club Autocross events: http://www.chuckanutscc.org/autocross/
Isn't nepotism the entire plot of "Backdraft"?
The 500E, I'm biased tho, here's the one I was fortunate enough to own:
But seriously, don't move here. We've got enough people and no room on the freeways.
Ooof, 11 OF 21 SCORED 52%
A lot of it has to do with what it's REGISTERED capacity is.
1,241 miles to drive a nearly-20 year old Range Rover purchased sight-unseen.
In my days aboard a Spruance Class Destroyer we'd come across Russian ships out there off in the distance and shudder with thoughts of the Sunburn. We would say "that's the 'you're fucked' missile" since even CWIS wouldn't do a whole hell of a lot to it when its coming in that low and fast.
I'm about halfway through it right now, lots of characters that are easily consolidated for film. Really shows Obi's desire to connect with Qui Gon's Force Ghost while he's in exile, and of course having to deal with "his watch" over Luke from a safe distance. It would really be a great basis for a movie.
Really expected to see the 2nd Gen MR2 here. Between the "JDM Yo!" crowd and the Kit Car builders they're rare as hell.

I ranted about this on Twitter a while ago, really trying to be constructive about it too. But, I'm a Fleet Manager and one of our sales managers really wanted a Tiguan and I had the worst time setting it up with her. I had to go into my auto quote system and it still didn't match what was on the sure.
As a Fleet Manager myself, this is irritating as hell.
Well well well, this is in the town I live in. Nice.
Mmmmmm 500E
This car comes from the lot of (very) short term Ferrari Rentals right next to the Ferrari Museum (I was there a couple weeks ago, pics here: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/when-in-italy-…)
The DPV (or FAV depending on your era in uniform)
And when it opened in 1935, prior to this the only way into Whidbey Island was ferry service.
