Hmm... I do drive my Healey slower on the freeway than my other cars. That's mostly due to it blowing big clouds of smoke at prolonged high RPM (I can't blame it, I do the same thing).

I wasn't meaning to be critical of you, my reaction was more of me being surprised by my age (again). I still think of myself as an early 20s sort. Which is weird because most of my friends are old like me.
My parents? Sorry, some of us Jalops are old. I'm entering my late 40s. Doesn't mean I've grown up, or still don't act like a child in cars. I can just afford to have the fun I wanted to when I was a young, starving racing driver.
Love it. I can't wait to buy an unreliable European car from CarMax.
Sounds like a great series. Let's get some Northwest dates.
The lede image screamed Celica to me.
Being a grey beard has its benefits. Who me? Do I look like the type to partake in such antics? (This following a smokey brakestand in the Miata).
good point. I guess we'll have to see. My wife prefers the Challenger body style anyway.
isn't the Challenger Hellcat available with the T6060? I thought it was?
The Charger Hellcat is really growing on me. It's a really compelling alternative to a used AMG. Hopefully it comes with a manual. Although the c63 I drove was quite fun with its automatic. Hmm...
These are my favorite of the 308 series. The carburetted cars have a ton of character and are faster than the early injected cars. A beater 308 Berlinetta with carbs would be a fun and cheap first Ferrari. Maintenance is do it yourselfable. Really, it is; there's no rocket science here.
Well done video. Kudos to the driver for double clutching the GTV-6.
This sort of stuff happens when I park or fuel my Healey (also when it breaks down which happens more often). No one has opened a door, but people do lean into it while eating drippy ice cream cones.
Epic brodozer can haul a ton of attitude mixed with a little insecurity.
A radial mated to a CVT would make a fine car engine. Wish this guy were here in the states for LeMons glory.
Best wishes to Corinna and Michael.
That saucy minx with the camera is Murilee Martin, aka Judge Phil. That Reno Fernley event was my first LeMons race. I was interviewed for Good Morning America's segment. I was the guy in the gorilla suit racing the Peugeot. Good times. Racing a Hudson this weekend at the Pacific Northworst LeMons event.
I just bought a 2001 P71 for $1400. 99K miles, runs great. The air conditioning is arctic, the ride is plush (compared to my other cars), and the power is adequate. It's my new camping and utility car.
Well played smarties, well played.
