Yeah, the St Regis is a classy place. GREAT people watching. I have a buddy who used to play piano at the Algonquin, so I keep meaning to go there and pretend I'm part of their writers' round table.

That's a hilarious enough concept to get me to try it out. I was just in Manhattan last weekend and enjoyed delicious hoity toity drinks at the recently reopened King Cole Bar. This bar famous for a fartingly good mural by Maxfield Parrish.
Came here to say this. See it has been said, all is right with the Jalopiverse.
The indignity of seeing your fully functional car drive away on the back of a flatbed must be crushing.
Well written story, can't wait for the next installment.
I want one of these so very badly. Wonder if they'll do tourist delivery?
Ahem: Signore Marchionnehine,
Per favore fatemi comprare l'auto e prendere la consegna in Italia. Ti porto a visitare la mia famiglia e potrà accelerare attraverso le Dolomiti sorridendo come un idiota. Sarà poi spedito a casa per gli Stati…
Wow! Nine years goes like that eh? I've been reading for forever. I believe a turbo Yugo article linked was sent to me. I was immediately hooked.
You then hired that leather clad saucy minx and my eyes were DOTSed.
The Jalop has its fits and starts (what project doesn't involve a little hell from time to time?) but…
That's kinda my point. It took 1000+hp to shive a car around a closed course as fast as this car did with probably much less powah.
Mark Donohue did a lap of 221 mph in 1975 in the 917-30 at Talladega. Not taking anything away from Ford's accomplishment, but damn the 917 and Mr. Donohue were impressive.
What will happen if I use this app in my 500 Abarth?
True we will have a little added bulk compared to the rest of the world's version. However it will be nowhere near 500lbs.
European weights are publish dry, no fluids in the car. North American weights are published witht he car actually able to move under its own power.
Replied to your article.
I usually point people to off lease Bimmers or Audis if they want euro-lux. Newer Subarus for winter capabilities (the newer Outbacks are quite nice).
Right on! Keep your kids involved with the passion and the car disease will transfer. I used to drop my daughter off at school in my Miata (sometime still with race livery in place). She learned to drive in that same Miata and swears by manual transmissions to this day. She has made us promise her the use of the…
I think if you have a cool car, it's your responsibility to gearhead culture to share it with oothers. My big Healey isn't anywhere near as bonkers as an Aventador, but it does get attention. I always try to accomodate conversations and pictures. People don't realize that just about everyone can have a "cool" car,…
You're killing me. I'd love to get a pic of you and me having beers with startinggrid and build race party stickers.
Gah! Let me think on this. Stupid job and responsibilities...
Oh man. That was a few minutes of joy followed by sadness. I didn't realize it's during the week; I can't get away from work for that long. A long weekend would have been a fun getaway.
I think Travis needs to wear a rainbow clown wig while driving this car so the photos can be tagged and identified as being of the Jalopweddinghini.
Damn... I was thinking of buying a ticket and flying out from Seattle for this. I now know I should have done that.
Any chance of a livestream of the panel?
Yep, on an educational visa obtained through the US Treasury department.
