Hearst is about as old school print as it gets. How is R&T going to compete? You've hired Sam Smith, one of the best writers out there, that's a good start. But print is a scary area to jump into isn't it?

Moar Orosz! Morosz! I want to see his Crayolinspired drawings of the recent events in F1!

Note to self: Never buy or recommend COR wheels for any of my 5 cars, nor for any of the tens of racing cars in my network of friends and associates.

I hadn't thought of offering free mechanical support as a way of getting close to these sorts of events. I race a battered to hell Peugeot and regularly drive my Big Healey to work. I can coax an old car to keep going.

It helps a smidge. In this case 'smidge' = <1 mpg. I've had Redline and Royal Purple products in my cars and noticed an improvement in shift feel over conventional gear oils.

Well done. I love competing in LeMons events, it is the most fun I've had in racing. Some folks complain about it not being "real" racing. They don't get it or are not comfortable with finish order being actually determined on the track and not the tech shed.

Right on Hardibird! When I'm racing, I care about only about fast. The other 99% of the time, I care about fun. For me three pedals and a gear lever are more fun than a pair of paddles and a bunch of electronics.

Is that Fangio? I believe he drove a car like that early in his career.

I posted this in oppo, but think TMS may spark a good conversation as well:

Slow clap. Well played D-X, well played.

Yeah, some friends and I have come to the conclusion that the best way to be one of those guys who do these enviable things is to just do it. A buddy is building a Hudson Hornet for Carrera Panamerica, the Healey will find itself entered in Targa West (if they ever get that event together), and we continue LeMonsing

Awesome article! The reports on vintage racing and classic touring hobbies are too full of rich old white guys in cars we've seen over and over and over again. There are plenty of young people, some of them even female, who enjoy these activities. We never hear about them because they aren't a) rich, b) driving a

Great article! I'd love to see more of your pictures, if you've got them posted somewhere. My mom would be an ideal sort for this as she a) loves being driven (and driving) fast, and b) is an adept interpreter of Italy's totally bizarre road signage system.

This is my dream event. My mom would happily co-drive in my Austin Healey. She already lives in Italia, now I just need to find a way to get my car and myself there.

There's a Big Healey in Forza? Damn! Now I need to get and Xbox.

Thanks! It looks better from a distance.

Old cars just kick ass, don't they? That is a gorgeous Buick. Here's my 1960 Austin Healey 3000. I love driving it, it makes people smile.

Nope. As the owner of a Miata, Saab, and Big Healey, I feel qualified to say that, although the answer always is "Miata", Miata fans are mere pikers when it comes to brand obsession. Healey owners scoff at the complaints of Miata owners. Saab owners are too busy loving their hella weird cars to notice anyone else.

Very happy to see that Alfa Junior Z make it through unscathed.

Cool! I was one of the 51%. Loving our Abarth.
