“R” and “L” are the same letter in Japanese. This should be fairly well known in the age of the internet. Romanized translations generally always use “R”, leading the internet to make bigoted jokes about Japanese English pronunciations and lots of “R’s”, even though as written, they may have actually been “L’s”.
