I find this narrative that Evil Feminists/Suffragettes/White Women were Racist and Bad for like, prioritizing women’s rights is pretty messed up. Some of them were racist! Shocker! Many of them were abolitionists first, and then slavery was abolished, and black men were given the right to vote, but women weren’t.

Sojourner Truth would be mighty surprised to hear that Black women weren’t part of the Women’s Suffrage movement.
