Middle schoolers are almost universally horrible, horrible little monsters, especially when in groups. Almost all of them grow out of it, except the ones who go on to become Republicans. Expecting a young teen boy to have not said horrible shit is hella naive. Hopefully hes changed, and not become Youtube mini Paul…

There is no putting it behind her. Ever. Just like the Obama birther nonsense. They’ll keep hammering at it forever because that’s all they have, but also because it works.

Twice in my life I’ve had a guy start talking about following me home/ showing up at my house. Both times I straight-up threatened to kill them. And told them how I’d do it. It was surprisingly effective!

Fun fact: Somerville MA (next to Cambridge) has one of the highest population densities in the country. Narrow streets and lots of triple deckers are big factors.

I got priced out of the Boston area and so did most of my friends. The upside is that having downgraded my neighborhood is my vote started mattering, I guess.

I finally broke down and bought a house. My mortgage (including taxes and insurance and such) worked out to be 25 bucks a month more than my rent, and I don’t have a family of nine upstairs from me and their project cars parked in front of my building anymore.

And even if you can afford it, leaving your entire support structure imposes its own costs. Suddenly not having your mom or your sister available for childcare assistance, no longer having your friends who could give you a ride to work or help you fix your computer or car nearby will cost you, too.

As a recent transplant to one of the many smaller cities in New England that is not Boston, I assure you that “most” cities assuredly do not have workable public transport as a commuter option.

Since I’m not going to un-gray the responder who clearly didn’t read the article:

I sympathize, and Native Americans pretty much always get the short end of the stick in American politics AND progressive popular issue outrage, but this is the kind of smear that brought down John Kerry. If she doesn’t respond, she gets swiftboated just like he did.

That’s like blaming both sides for the “controversy” about Obama’s country of birth. 

She didn’t. The only people who have ever made an issue of it are the Republicans. Warren isn’t going up on stages and calling herself Pocahontas, the GOP are doing it to try to frame her as being an affirmative action hire who beat out honest white men for her professorship. 

Guys, all the talk about the Russians is at least partially deflection, because the Republicans steal elections all the time. Remember 2000? Remember 2004? There were huge irregularities in Florida and Ohio. The UN wanted to send in election observers.

Her choice of charity is both very fitting, and a really great burn to the orange twatwaffle.

I would love to have someone who could truthfully be described that way on the ballot in my state!
