For fuck’s sake. Both “donating hair to a temple” and “selling your hair” can be true for different people. Just like “husband took the money” can be true for some women, while “started her own business” can be true for others.

You get that a lot of this hair comes from Hindu temples, right? Pretty arrogant and Eurocentric to call that whitewashing.

There are major initiatives in India for women to have control over money. Bank accounts, small businesses, changes to inheritance laws. There is still a huge amount of discrimination and misogyny, but there are a lot of women who will, in fact, get that money and use it to better their lives. Saying that since “many”

And far less likely to get frostbite than in the top photo. Brrr.

Won’t they be cold in those outfits though?

I would have sold my hair when I cut it in college. I needed the money. It was nearly two feet long, thick, and untreated. Unfortunately for me, selling your hair is/was illegal.

If you have any local orchards, they usually post when it’s peach season. White peaches come in first, then the yellow peaches a little later in the Fall. Season is pretty short, though.

The only decent peaches you can get off season in a grocery store come in a can, alas. They’re still ok with cottage cheese, but they’re more like candy than actual fruit.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again (and again...) We don’t need the Trupm voters, we need the people who didn’t show up to vote last time. The 37% or whatever don’t matter that much (and a lot of them are old and will die soon), despite their favorable geographic positioning.

Unless we win the House in 2018. Which is probably a pipe dream, but maybe, just maybe, we can take the Senate.

Yes! Voters care about things that affect their lives and the lives of people they know! They care about the candidate showing that they understand and care about their constituents’ issues.

Pretending you’re a medical provider when you’re not is illegal, not protected free speech. And that’s what these clinics do.

Eh, I know it’s probably a lost cause, but to me, “ladies and gentlemen” is just a (probably futile) effort to gently remind people that they are adults and should act like they were not, in fact, raised in a barn.

... wow, Christianity is weird.

And then they pretend as hard as they can that it isn’t sex trafficking.

My stupid state just voted to NOT outlaw marriage for under-age people (and let’s face it, that usually means girls). Their excuse was that it might lead to sixteen year olds not being able to marry their military sweethearts before they go out and get killed in a war, and thus denying benefits to the blushing bride,

A super conservative, married man being sexually predatory towards under aged girls? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.

Hooray! When our side shows up to vote, we win!

Sometimes you need to bring the baked goods you want to see in the world.
