I dipped my toe in the first Sly game not so long ago. Seemed good, I didn't play enough to get hooked (gaming time is low) but it felt last gen and decent last gen so I don't mean that as a bad thing.

Tolerable is strong. I can understand the sentiment but I think it's more hit and miss than an absolute. While a bit iffy at times, my success with GTA3 has shown me that multiple controls can work.
