I plunked down my $1K at the dealer yesterday to order an XLT Hybrid. It is the spiritual successor to my Jetta Sportwagen TDI that I’m handing down to my son once the Maverick comes in. Next Summer.

I was on the list for a dealer in Harrisburg. Salesman called me last week and I put in my order for a hybrid XLT. He just called me this morning to say hid dealer rep just told him now that he could only order against his dealership allocation, which was 7 Mavericks, none of them hybrid. Been a mechanic for 30 years…

A shuttle crammed with world leaders--with or without the U.S. President--seems like a pretty bad idea in terms of security in general.  Sure, maybe nobody has real beef with the PM of Belgium, but a terrorist attack on (what I presume) a vehicle with a whole gaggle of world leaders would be a big ugly deal.

I noticed gas prices going down, so I went and filled up my tank.  There was a little sticker of Joe Biden pointing at the price and saying "I did that".  Thanks Joe for dropping the price of gas!

Ah yes, more folks are working and have a bit more money than they have in 30+ years so now inflation is our fault. Not the price gouging and stock buy backs, or the PPP loan forgiveness, it’s the regular folks who’ve been scraping by for decades.
