Nah, Disco is Trek. It’s just not what people wanted, and they ruined the Klingon culture, which they are at least trying to fix. There’s a long way from the current armor and weapons design, all frippery and ostentatious ornamentation, to the lean battle-focused design honed over TNG and DS9.

My local (the Brewstation, in Cottage Grove, Oregon) pretty much hits these marks, with bonus points for being unpretentious. While they offer small tasters (free! if you try one or two), the pours are pints. It’s pretty rare to get something that isn’t, like the Lagunitas below.

It’s really not the makeup redesign that bothers me, as much as it is completely changing the Klingon *culture* and aesthetic. It was sparse, focused, military. Now it’s all... frippery and filigree.

I’ve always been disappointed that dictionary editors seem to have confused the use of “literally” in hyperbole with “literally” literally meaning “figuratively.” It literally gives me a headache when I fret over it.*
