Brilliant.

Yes, but now he complains that she always packs him synthetics. “They’re better for you!” It’s just not the same. It’s like when she first started giving him decaf...
See? The book practically screams “Tweet me!” 140 characters of this prose at a time is about one can consume.
Yes, Vaseline is originally a brand of petroleum jelly, though the name’s applied to a few skin care products now, too.
I’ve used petroleum jelly on work boots (hey, it’s what I had in the shop), and cannot endorse this. Petroleum jelly will darken most leathers and tends to attract dirt and dust.
I believe that 13º C is the upper limit at which the allotropic transformation can occur. -30º C or thereabouts is generally where it will kick off... if I recall my chemistry.
Get 'em young enough and it's ALL tender.
Exactly! I suppose we should be glad they didn't name her Moff Dyvr while they were at it.
There's precedent in current second-person use, as well. We use a plural when addressing in the second-person singular, having moved off of "thou" and "thy/thine" to "you" and "yours."
Most frozen fry manufacturers have already parboiled and/or parfried the potatoes. They're pretty much at this stage already. I'd also suggest baking on a pre-heated pizza stone, or a heavy cast-iron baking sheet.
For years it was Marty Feldman. Moved to the dwarf in 2006-ish.
You can get good looking cotton handkerchiefs for a couple of bucks. A quick ironing and they work well as a pocket square (though they can kinda slouch down). Bonus points if somebody's crying or spills and you grab it and offer it for their use.
He actually addressed it on the very first show, too, by telling the story of Giordano Bruno. Their understanding of God is too small, too limited.
Pressure cookers are a good way to carbonate items, and I've used mine often for the task. About 30 grams of dried ice will usually provide enough pressure to keep the cooker at its max pressure for several minutes, usually about 15 p.s.i. (ymmv). More dried ice can lead to overpressure situations. I put my items…
It sucks that your job makes you do that, Spetrarca. JAA has it right. The focus of a customer service rep *should* be to provide the customer with what the customer is entitled to have based on the purchase or service agreement, and wherever possible to make the interaction as effortless and as pleasant as possible.…
McGann will make a wonderful Valeyard.
Similar issue here: Only one eye works at a time, so 3D is completely lost on me, too, with the same side effects. I compensate by trying to see movies designed for 3D on as big a screen as possible. The immersion I cannot get due to lack of depth perception is largely mitigated by sitting mid-theater with a big…
That was brood X; this year is brood II.
No, clearly most places are soloable with the right weapon.
No doubts that poor parenting can generate anger, but IED (Really? Couldn't be arsed to come up with a better name?) has a lot of causes, some likely chemical. We have four kids. Three were "normal" while the youngest had fits of rage. He's otherwise a great guy. I had the same thing as a kid, started at about 8,…
