"I can't stand gizmodo anymore..."

Nice try at the Apple-hating, but you can't pinch or zoom with a nano.

"the only reason people regard Apple as a leader in design is because they keep saying it so loudly ("We love design," "We care about design," "Nobody else thinks about design!")"

Exactly.

Yes, but for four things:

Compared to the sync-over-Dropbox method I'm now using, I would have to describe this as a kluge. Was that a serious recommendation for people to use apps like Grocery IQ or ZipList, print their lists out (after adjusting the font size), and attach them to the basket using a clip they keep in their pockets along with

Compare with this:

I have a house that's constructed so as to make it virtually impossible to string cable between floors, so when the 802.11 "pre-n" beta first became available I jumped at it. Even after upgrading I've had some problems with connectivity, and despite taking the best, fullest security measures it's still not worry-free,

Thanks, Whitson. This is my favorite kind of tip: the kind that saves users time and makes them more productive (with no effort, yet). Just think what would happen if it spread virally and millions of users adopted it: why, you might even affect GDP!

Limited syncing means: not interested.

While this statement sounds like a sympathetic appeal to iPhone users, as the article goes on it becomes clear where Adam is really coming from.

You'd have to use something like a toggle bolt or molly bolt to do this, and grind off the screw head. No big deal.

MacBook Pro with SSD, end.

"Whether your speaker is actually small or large in real life doesn't really make a difference: you're probably best off setting all your speakers to 'small'."

I'd heard that Lion might have iOS-style memory management. If so, this might explain the lack of lights under running applications, as whether applications are running or not doesn't make much difference under the suspend/resume scheme used by iOS, particularly when SSDs are used.
