Yeah I agree. The novels are good though! Probably some of the best fiction based within a video game universe I’ve ever read. Their direction makes you have to work for the story a bit. I don’t mind but I see how that’s a turn off.

It was as much of a trainwreck as Halo 2 imo. Agree with the military sci-fi. It doesn’t come out of the games as much when you have Forerunner architecture running around.
