I fell like I have automotive Alzheimers. I can remember the first few cars that I bought for like less than $500 then nothing until, I bought a new Miata in ‘04. so I’m missing like 15 years worth of cars. I can remember what the were, but not what I paid.
You could have purchased a Volvo at that time where the drain hoses would become plugged and filled the cabins as well. Heck last time we were shopping for a used car and saw Volvo we told the dealer what the cause was.

A 1962 Ford pickup (one always has to own a vehicle older than they are) in winter of 1985ish. MANY holes in the floorboards were a problem, Primarily due to the 18 degree temp outside when I drove it in and out of Boston to go to school. The heater could not keep up.
