People dress as chola in Brazil?
People dress as chola in Brazil?
I'm not condemning anyone. I'm just saying that the explanation is a little more complicated than 'black women aren't funny' vs. 'SNL is full of KKK members'.
Solid rebuttal, dude.
How about
Well said. I wish more people got this. I'm sick of people arguing that they're hiring on 'merit' to justify hiring the same types of people. Maybe 'merit' just looks a certain way to them?
A lot of people who wind up in sex work have also suffered trafficking or coercion. Not all, and it's less common in the USA than in some places but it does happen. If someone ends up being exploited for their labour in any industry my first instinct is to say 'that's messed up, we should stop that from happening'…
It's a distinct possibility. She skipped over most of the interesting parts of the story to focus on stuff like the layout of her hotel room, for some reason.
That's already a thing in the Netherlands.
Cool, I'm glad we agree! Apart from the effect on the author, it would also suck for all the female porn stars out there if people just starting doing it for free. They'd have to form a union and have picket lines and stuff.
If he's making money off it then she should too. I mean, we have a minimum wage, don't we? You can't get people to work for free even if they want to.
The vast majority of the women just make a fairly normal middle-class salary. To make good money you need to get into the merchandising, or do a little escorting with your clients on the side. From what I've heard it's not as though porn is 'easy money' at all.
Except in this scenario Deen's the prostitute and she's the John, right? Is that the point of a 'private'?
Wow, you have so much empathy for people who wind up working in bad environments. For an encore do you want to find some people working in sweatshops and lecture them about their bad choices?
Why do you think that childbirth or birth control are 'women's' expenses, though?
But your comment isn't even accurate. I wonder how many people whinging about 'welfare queens' feel entitled to their medicare or medicaid?
Speak for yourself. Some people like living in a country with a decent welfare safety net if only because it means orphans won't constantly be trying to steal bread from them.
If the region is 'internet' then, yes.
Are you just going to post pictures of ladies' butts in thongs on all? Seriously, like how many of these do you have saved on your desktop at any one time?
You mad, bro?
So you think what this woman did was wrong but decided to write a 500 word screed justifying it anyway?
