The Wii U has been out for almost 12 months now, has it had a game you've said to yourself "Wow, that's next gen!" yet?
The most impressive thing consoles did was that they could play older games?
I wasn't aware the two of you were on first name basis...
They did, but it was active for the first day, I know of a couple people who lost small purchases and my friend who lost the full ridiculously priced option.
I bought GTA 5 for GTA Online and I'm sure I'm not the only one, the single player was fantastic but it wasn't the reason I was so excited to buy the game.
Yup, I save each time I leave and didn't come across the retry or cloud servers are down screen yet every loading screen in the game now tells me avoiding those things would have kept my character alive.
inb4 justifiable complaints.
I have a friend who lost two level 30 characters, one of which he used to purchase the £13 cash pack (a dumb decision, I know) which was wiped from his account.
Still no mentions of refunds to anyone who purchased the ingame cash, I have a friend who (idiotically) bought the £13 micro transaction and lost both it and his character a couple days later.
I've yet to reach the point in my life in which adverts become some terrifying feature that I must avoid at all costs.
Adverts exist everywhere and even if they begin marketing them to me personally I'll still respond with a solid 'Meh' and carry on enjoying whatever game I booted the system to play.
The Xbox One could instantly switch between the Crunchyroll app and a game or even have both working at once (which may require fluent language skills!), the PS4 I believe will pause/resume any one game as well so while it may not have an instant switch effect a similar thing could be achieved.
I have no doubt Microsoft will want to develop games that use it and there are already third party publishers like Ubisoft jumping on it but at the end of the day I don't think Microsoft are ever going to turn down a game unless it has Kinect features, look at things like Titanfall, and even the little features do…
There's a big difference though, the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube were all reasonably on par with each other with the power edge being with the Xbox but not enough to really effect things.
The difference between the Wii and the Xbox though is that the Xbox does still have everything a core gamer could want behind those specific features (gimmicks). Those features (gimmicks) aren't limited to the Kinect either, the coolest thing I'm looking forward to is running a game and an app picture in picture and…
Sony went from 170 million PS2's to just under 80 million PS3's with the 360 pretty much matching them making the 360 a huge success despite all the hardware failures.
Well I'm pretty sure you just pulled that number off the top of your head, didn't this site itself show a test that mimicked both systems and found the gap to be averaging at around 20% without taking in to account the Xbox One's ESram.
'Oh, sure, many of us would love to see Game Freak try for a more mature Pokemon'
