What? Those games are made by Sony studios. Bethesda was a 3rd party studio making games that were multiplatform for decades. Even if Xbox owns them now they were not XBOX games and those games would have 100% hit Playstation consoles.

It is clear you do not understand the entire point of this article.

I own both consoles, so I’d hardly consider myself a fanboy, but Microsoft’s acquisition took dozens of IPs that have been on Playstation for decades and suddenly said “no more.”

Those aren’t even knock offs.   People have been making these animal backpacks for years.  If anything, the realistic cat version is a knockoff of those.  

I mean putting the actual reception of the game aside, the fact that a AAA exclusive could exist on the preceding hardware suggests the generational gap is effectively much narrower than previous leaps (unless it ends up running like shit).

Damn, that’s a brutal indictment on the current-gen consoles. Nothing says “inessential” like a launch title getting backported after the fact.

Why the fuck did they wait till ONE DAY BEFORE then? This sounds like some extremely shady bullshit to me. They could have openly communicated all this way earlier but chose to wait till now. Why? Feels like they’re trying to ambush people or something.

E3 sounds like it wants to inject its greedy bullying type business tactics into the streaming space, in an attempt to try to gain some of its former power. I hope they continue to burn honestly, mostly for how awful they are to the industry in general. Respect to Keighley for always being classy.
