A quick message to the comedians responsible for this:

As a lifelong Texan I can honestly say that fierce loyalty to and the love of the place where you live has to be one of the most polarizing topics out there, from state to state, east to west, north to south. It often has no rhyme or reason to those who have lived their lives elsewhere, but we all feel it and we all

This isn't about common sense, or either that it's dangerous or not.

STRONG Bullshit.

Really? What a warped view you have. If that's honestly what you think of Detroit then you have NEVER been there. Has Detroit had its problems, obviously. Does Detroit still make it self look bad, obviously. But its not the hunger games for christ sake. Alot of people love the city and it truly is transforming slowly

Excluding the residents of Texas most people wanted to see it in Detroit. Detroit's promo videos were cooler, the landmarks looked a ton more interesting, a massive online campaign, and it had a great revival story to go along with it. Plus Detroit had a metropolitan area with 3.4 million more people. You can claim

All I could think of when I saw "Washington Monument Broken"

die now. please.

Well, it is good publicity for Ford... "90% of Toyotas sold since 1989 are still on the road? HOW MANY OF THOSE WENT THROUGH AN F5 TORNADO?"

Ford: Designed to handle the toughest the world can dish out.

I would go up thru wisconsin from Chicago and cut through Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Beautiful driving!
