My husband kept whispering “Dylan McKay” to me, and that “Donna is around the corner”. I then knew that my husband watched way more 90210 than I did.
If there was a scene I liked that I’d single out, it might be when Samantha’s base is raided. While I didn’t care for much of the action in the movie, I suppose I can give some credit to the fluid camera through those sequences, so you’ve got me there. It recalls some of how he’d shoot Minority Report or Adventures…
“I liked that racism didn’t play much a factor in Wayne’s life”
It was an ambitious project, no doubt; I’ll give them credit for that. And at first, it was interesting and somewhat exciting. But the first time we picked a “wrong” answer and got rewound, that was the moment it converted from “entertainment” to “work.”
Isn’t bird-boxing where you fight an emu?
Rural white people tend to agree. They routinely watch money and attention from the federal government flow into urban areas (because population density says it should) and they don’t feel like they get their fair share.
Republicans fundamentally run on the idea that the federal government doesn’t work and as an individual you’re better off with some portion of your money back.
It’s almost like the people who say “Facts over Feels” are huge hypocrites!
The author’s not aware of too many things, he knows what he knows, if you know what I mean?
We women already know how misogynistic America is.
In anything approximating a just society, statues of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford would be dedicated in every town square in the country. But of course, in anything approximating a just society, we wouldn’t have a sentient sack of Doritos dust as president, and therefore wouldn’t have his slightly more articulate but…
There’s nothing like severe campaign finance reform and strict term limits to regularly jettison these reptilian, sexist, antiquated, privileged codgers from making huge determinations. Unfortunately, most of us don’t vote. Kudos for Dr. Ford’s courage in a setting she could have easily chosen not to participate.
As the survivor of a sexual assault by a (female) classmate at some point in school (I would prefer not to specify) and a collaborator/perpetrator of possible sexual harrassment and boorishness in high school/college, these last few weeks have had me pretty fucked up.
I know I, for one, think a Supreme Court justice should be a guy who launches a diatribe against Democrats, the media, and says he’s the victim of a conspiracy to get “revenge for the Clintons.” Sounds like unbiased guy to me.
I disagree that he is a monster or this episode firmly establishes him as one. He felt he had no choice; it was self-preservation or else, and the mordantly ironic thing is that he had a new lease on life because of the acting class, the one thing that in the beginning he thought could save him from depression.
Men have higher rates of suicide and waaaaay higher rates of violence towards others, but sure bro, we’re the emotional ones. 🙄🙄🙄
I’m not sure how much they get involved, but I know they do based on some research I did after I saw and liked the critically panned movie, Passengers. I didn’t see it in the theaters because of those reviews, and then regretted not seeing it in the theaters when I finally saw it myself at home. I cannot find it right…
