I know you’re joking but the projection system that is central to my career as a projectionist was reliant upon an NT 4 machine for its digital sound system until it was upgraded last August. It was entirely airgapped though, but also it was the prototype system on which every similar system in the world was based,

Okay, we’re both misunderstanding each other, apparently. This is an article exclusively about the latest features Microsoft has added to Edge, with nary a mention of Google, so when you asked “What are they doing to fix Chrome,” I took the “they” to be Microsoft.

That all makes sense and is fair enough. I just don’t understand why you’re asking if Microsoft is going to fix Chrome when that’s a Google product.

Microsoft can’t make Google fix Chrome, but they’ve given us a fantastic alternative with Edge.

Ah, yeah. I saw my friend’s post again and it was a different execution of the same idea. I had wanted to grab it and do some extra work to make the pixel-scale match, which reminded me that they had also made a text bubble for Bernie at the top. Here’s my version with a bit more consistency. I didn’t go all-in and

Did you really make this one? That’s awesome; I’ve already been spotting it in the wild prior to seeing this post.

Weird choice for the dude to share a green-screen version instead of a PNG with an alpha channel. I mean you can just use color-to-alpha in GIMP, but it’s sort of an extra step for no reason. Green screens are for video.

I am simultaneously angry at the world for not putting this information in my brain sooner, and grateful to you for righting that wrong today.

I usually just go to “This PC” since I almost always have an Explorer window open anyway, and click on “Properties” to get there. You can also right-click on “This PC” from the navigation bar of Explorer (or the desktop if you have a shortcut there), but it’s two clicks either way, and I tend to favor not

Right price, wrong format. Holding out for a digital sale on Xbox to play on Series X. Yes, it has a disc drive, but I’m about tired of dealing with discs. Got THPS 1+2 on disc for Christmas so that takes up my quota of one game that I just leave in so I can play anytime without touching the console.

So glad you guys tackled this one. I’m not a materials scientist but have always been dubious that there was any real mechanism by which this could make sense (and I also appreciate FredipusRex for their smart explanation below).

I might have to check these out. I’ve been using a third party app for phone browsing for awhile now though (Apollo), and it’s pretty great.

I know that was a random example, but it’s more likely that Facebook would ban every color but blue, given the company’s specific history (and that of its founder) with colors in general and blue specifically.

Goes without saying, right?

You forgot step one:

While Warner was the only casualty of the Christmas Day bombing...

Came down here to say the same. I find myself so often frustrated by the general lack of competency evident in the writing of most people with whom I correspond—a grouping inclusive of more than a few superlative degrees.
