I agree. The term “retro gaming” has kind of reversed the meaning of “retro” and “vintage”. If we want to be pedantic about it, someone who’s into Atari and NES games should be a vintage gaming enthusiast, not a retro gaming enthusiast. “Retro” games would be things like Shove Knight and Mega Man 11.
